So here is what the rumor mill is producing about the Apple Iphone OS 4.0, and yes until thursday, or friday here in sydney they are all just rumours at the moment.

Word on the street is that the IPhone and IPad will finally get some multi-tasking action going on. so instead of having to switch it up between applications, you may even be able to run more than one at a time. I know massive deal! but there still a bit hazy on the details, saying that there will be a “few new ways” to run applications in the background.

They have added a multi touch system, so not only can you touch it once, but multiple times. Didn’t it already have one of these systems? isn’t pinching and sliding both of your fingers around the screen, multi? Anyway… maybe they made it a bit better.

Some people say that the IPhone OS is perfect. Really? Well that’s what i heard anyway, supposedly in this 4.0 release they have tweaked a few items to make it more “efficient”.

They have added a new system, or systems to allow easier syncing of calendars and contacts. Well that’s a good idea, i was just getting used to syncing my gmail contacts using the fangled method of weird settings that is currently in place. Hey it works, and its a hell of a lot better than having to manually enter all of my contacts i suppose.

Anyway about time they gave us a massive OS Upgrade on the IPhone. Puts on excited anticipation cap ready for 4.0!
