The reserve was previously known as Reserve 298. Council at its meeting on 3 May 1995 resolved that the name Vancouver Reserve should be adopted and that the Boards formal endorsement should be sought.

A public reserve located in Vancouver Avenue Toongabbie. It occupies Lot 82 of D P 242240 Lot 20 of D P 239654 and Lot 14 of D P 239584. Reserve 298.
