History
The name was proposed By Keith Paull of Woy Woy in response to the Mangrove Mountain Bicentennial Naming Project. (Paull K naming proposal form dated 27 June 1997)
Description
A gully which starts in an area 0.7 km N by E of Mount Baxter and 1.5 km NW of Mount McLeod. It is 2.2 km in length and flows in a north-easterly direction to its point of confluence with Greens Run.
Origin
According to Amos Douglass born in 1896 whose family came from the area older people always referred to the area as `The Poley Boar`. The reason for this name is unknown
